eBay تستعين بخدمة Skype لتحسين وضعها في السوق الأميركي


أعلنت شركة eBay العملاقة للتجارة الإلكترونية عن خطط لوضع روابط لخدمة Skype VoIP للتخاطب المباشر في قوائمها لإتاحة الفرصة للمشترين والبائعين في الولايات المتحدة للتحدث مباشرة.

وأزاح بيل كوب، رئيس فرع الشركة في الولايات المتحدة النقاب عن تفاصيل الخطة التجريبية الجديدة ليلة الخميس، مبيناً أنه سيتم تشجيع البائعين على وضع روابط 'Skype Me' في عروضهم في الفئات الأربعة عشر المختلفة التي يشتمل عليها موقع eBay، بما فيها السيارات والعقارات والمجوهرات ومقتنيات النادرة.

وبدءاً من يوم التاسع عشر من يونيو الحالي، سيكون بإمكان المشترين الراغبين النقر فوق الارتباط الذي سيتم وضعه في منطقة سؤال للبائع 'Ask a seller a question' من صفحة المزاد. وستسمح الميزة الجديدة للأشخاص بالتحدث مباشرة عبر الاتصال الصوتي أو الرسائل النصية أو اتصال الفيديو.

وتأمل الشركة أن تساعد هذه الميزة الجديدة في القضاء على المشكلات التي تنشب بين البائعين والمشترين حول ترتيبات التسليم أو أية تفاصيل أخرى متعلقة بالعملية، مؤكدة أن النظام الجدي سيتيح للبائعين والمشترين التمتع بإجراء معاملة أكثر أمناً ويسراً.

وقال كوب في بيان صدر مساء الأربعاء "يمثل برنامج التخاطب المباشر Skype فرصة هائلة للبائعين على موقعنا للاتصال بالمشترين مباشرة. ودفعت eBay مبلغاً وصل إلى بليوني دولار عداً ونقداً لشركة Skype العام الماضي، لكن عملاق التجارة الإلكترونية ظل متشككاً من جدوى المخاطرة بإدخال نظام تخاطب مباشر على الموقع حتى تم اتخاذ القرار.

ويتوقع أن يتم توفير الخدمة على مواقع eBay المختلفة في المملكة المتحدة وألمانيا في وقت قريب. وكانت بعض فروع الشركة، وعلى رأسها فرع الصين، قد سبقت الفرع الأميركي بإضافة روابط إلى خدمة Skype في خمسة وعشرين بالمائة من قوائمها.

وتصل قاعدة مستخدمي Skype حول العالم إلى 100 مليون شخص، بينهم ثلاثة عشر مليوناً في الصين وحدها. لكن انطلاقة البرنامج في الولايات المتحدة كانت ضعيفة بعض الشيء، ويرى المحللون أن خطة الاستعانة بخدمة Skype مطوق نجاة للوصول إلى السوق الأميركي.
